Shop Update

Hi Everyone,
I do hope you're surviving the cold and snow. We sure do have enough of it. I'm ready for spring and we still have the rest of February to contend with.

I'm really enjoying the new website. Have you entered your email address and gotten the free pattern? If you use the pattern please send me a picture of the completed quilt (or top) and I'll get it posted on the gallery page.

And speaking of quilts our 2nd Annual Quilts in the Cupboard Quilt Show is in a couple weeks. Do you have a quilt you'd like us to display? They will hang in the shop from Mar. 1-7 during normal shop hours. We'll also take a picture and have them displayed on our gallery page. You can bring them in the last week in Feb. Don't worry if they aren't perfect. This is just a fun show to help celebrate our anniversary and we don't allow any quilt police.

Time is running out to sign up for the trip to Paducah. We still have some spots available but once I give the hotel a room count it will be harder to add anyone. Just ask anyone who has gone in the past and they will tell you what a good time we have.

We have two great classes coming up next week. On Friday the 19th Beth Shillig, who owned Beth's Creative Stitchery, will be teaching a free-motion quilting class on stippling. Her work is excellent and you are sure to learn a thing or two or three. Then on Saturday the 20th Karen Phillips-Schwallen is coming from PA. to teach embroidery and beading for her pattern called SNOW (appropriate, don't you think?) Karen and Beth are both award winners and they will have lots of examples of their work for you to ohh and ahh over. There are still a few spaces available in each class. You can sign up on the website or you can call the shop at 740-927-2636.

It's 1:30pm not 1:30am so that means I can send this off and instead of going to bed I can go in and sew. Since I didn't get everything done on my mini retreat I still have stuff to do. I did get a lot of sewing done, though. You don't realize how much time it takes to do a block of the month until you try to do it all at once. I did get the shop hop project pieced but I still have to write the instructions (yuck).

Have a wonderful weekend. If you're out and about just be careful. There is still a lot of snow and ice in parking lots.

See you soon,
Sherry
