HAPPY SPRING!!!
Maybe if I yell it out it will finally warm up and stay warm and we'll have no more snow. It is officially Spring and I refuse to put my winter coat back on.
( Although, it probably would have felt good this morning.)

Soon we will have a new grocery store in our shopping center. It is a Value King. Similar to Aldi, I've heard. Once it opens you'll be able to do most of your errands in one place. Drop the dog off to be groomed at Bark Place, have your hair done at Shanel's, have lunch at Nanny's, get your next quilting project at the Calico Cupboard, check out the latest good stuff at the Goodwill, pick up dinner fixin's at the Value King, get the dog and go home. How convenient will that be?!

Tomorrow (Saturday) we are having a sale on white permanent press muslin - buy 2 yds, get 1 yd free. Also, at noon is our Choosing Fabric class and at 2:30 the Cutting, Sewing, Pressing class.

Next Saturday, April 3, is the Sweetheart Sampler class. You'll learn the technique of paper piecing and make an adorable little wallhanging. Kits will be available if needed.

We just got in a cute, little trash can from the Gypsy Quilter. It's called the Gypsy Biddy Buddy. When it's open it is 6"D x 7"H. Closed it is only 6"D x 1/2"H. Perfect for taking to classes. No more taping a plastic bag to the table to collect threads and scraps.

And for those of you who hand applique we have new applique needles by Roxanne. It is a hybrid of three types of needles. It is thin with an evenly tapered point, is stronger and a little longer than the traditional Sharps and has a significantly larger eye for easier threading. There are 50 needles in a tube.

Easter is next week and it's the time of year for Spring Break. If you're traveling have a safe and fun trip. Don't eat to many chocolate bunnies or marshmallow peeps. I did hear, though, that peeps toasted like marshmallows are really good. I might have to try that.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Sherry
