SUPER-Souper Bowl Mystery Class
Bring to class:
Sewing machine in good working order
Basic sewing supplies
Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
Thread to match fabrics
Fabrics: Remember to use contrast when choosing your fabrics. Use a variety of visual textures for interest. For this quilt, choose two fabrics with contrasting values (light and dark). Then, choose an accent fabric that has a strong contrast in color with both of the first two fabrics. Don't be shy! Use some intensity in this accent color, for instance fuschia, cherry red, marigold, black, bright periwinkle, etc. Don't blend this fabric with the other two. The light and dark fabrics should have good visual interest.Their prints can be any scale that you like. For the accent fabric, choose a small scale, tone on tone, or solid. Avoid directional fabrics unless you are prepared to ignore their print directions.
Dark - 1 1/4 yards; Light - 1 1/4 yards; Accent - 1 1/4 yards
Cut before class: (remove all selvage edges prior to cutting strips)
