Travel Handmade - All Bottled Up

Our samples are made from Shibori II from Moda and I used the optional elastic on the small and large bag mesh divides. I strongly recommend using the elastic as it increases the size range of the bottles that can be stored. You will be able to complete one bag in class.

Materials needed:
All Bottled Up pattern from ByAnnie.com
Requirements are as listed on the back of the pattern. Please note Annie recommends her zippers and that is what is used in the samples. You can use other brand zippers; however the bags might be slightly narrower. We will be getting in a limited range of colors to begin with but we can order a special color if you ask. Also the fold-over elastic comes in 2yd packages so you will need 2 packages for the large bag.

Tools needed:
Sewing machine in good working order with a walking foot, ¼” foot and zipper foot.
Thread to match all fabrics and elastic (if using). There is a lot of top stitching on these projects.
Rotary cutting tools, including rulers.
Fabric scissors and scissors or snips you feel comfortable using to cut zipper teeth.
Removable pen/pencil for marking sewing lines. There is quite a bit of measuring and marking on this project.
Pins and/or clips. You will find the wonder clips are a great alternative for pins for these projects.
Optional: Stiletto and wooden pressing tool, Annie finds these helpful for sewing bindings.
Annie recommends a 90/14 size sewing needle for working with the foam stabilizer.

Prior to class:
Cut the Main, Lining and Mesh Fabric and Foam stabilizer pieces for the size bag you wish to make. Contrast fabric will be cut in class.
